Rotation. Injuries. This season just keeps on giving!
Usually when you have 2 FTs it’s exciting, you get to make those moves you wanted! But this week I spent mine on putting out fires and trying to get a squad of players together that might actually play!
Out goes the injured Moreno and the ever-rested Callum Wilson, replaced by Masuaku and Calvert-Lewin, everyone’s new favourite budget forward. I considered Charlie Austin, but Southampton’s fixtures just aren’t good enough for the next few weeks, and the money saved by getting DCL allows me more flexibility elsewhere.
At the back, I considered Watford defenders but didn’t know which one, and Kenny of Everton, but I went for Masuaku in the end due to his attacking threat, and West Ham’s fixtures which of course now include that DGW in 22. Thinking ahead, I also noticed that in GW19, Kenny plays Chelsea and Masuaka plays Newcastle – and I’ll have Kola v Liverpool, and Mee v Spurs, plus Daniels v City if I still own him then. It’s only one week, but I’ll be thankful when we get there.
Additionally, I’m still looking at Pickford, and while Big Sam will tighten it up there, I’m not quite ready to double up just yet.
Morata won’t play, and Mee is still a doubt, but otherwise it doesn’t look too bad, rotation-pending…
It’s on Kane again (and yes, I’ve saved it this time), and after Saturday I have to be confident with that, but I think Brighton will be tough to break down. I’d be tempted to put it on Salah if I thought I could trust Klopp to start him.
